Hi Cas,
We’ve got something very special for you this week: Not one, but two Friday Feature Artists!
This week, Take Two founder Angela Truscott sat down with artists Clarissa Callesen and Cas Holmes to explore how found and recycled materials can carry memory, emotion, and quiet power.
Clarissa builds expressive sculptures from post-consumer waste, letting colour, texture, and surface marks guide her intuitive, process-led work. Her art holds space for both softness and rawness, revealing how decay, discomfort, and beauty often coexist.
Cas works in what she calls “painting with cloth,” layering paper and textiles with paint, stitch, and stories. Trained in fine art and deeply inspired by liminal spaces, her work reflects on people, place, and the overlooked edges of life.
🎧 Tune in to our latest Friday Feature Artist interview (on YouTube or our podcast!) to hear how Clarissa and Cas use discarded materials to create art that’s personal, expressive, and full of meaning.
Warmly,
Ang, Founder
